Education and Training

The Education and Training sectors are recognized by BCS as crucial to its future and of computing professionals.

We have established this Forum to work for the people in both these important communities, which have a huge part to play in the support, instruction, and ongoing development of computing professionals in its broadest sense.

The Forum works closely with other BCS groups and in partnership with other bodies and individuals. This Forum is also responsible for our very active Education & Training Expert Panel.

The Forum works closely with the Information & Technology Training Specialist Group.

BCS members can participate in discussions at the new Education and Training Discussion area. Please log in to the Members Secure Area and select 'Forums' followed by 'Education & Training Forum'.

e-security in an e-school
You are very welcome to come to the event entitled 'e-security in an e-school' which takes place on 20th September at the BCS at Southampton St London. The event starts at 10.30am.

Year in Industry Project Award

YInI BCS Best (Regional) ICT Project Award
The Year In Industry (YInI) is one of the schemes operated by the Engineering Development Trust (EDT) and encourages young people to gain a year's experience in industry before completing their university studies.
