BCS IT Industry Awards 2009

BCS and Computing were delighted to hold the newly formed UK IT Industry Awards, at the Battersea Park Events Arena on 12 November 2009. Over 1300 guests attended the event, which was hosted by comedian Sean Locke.

26 winners were presented with their awards, including the Lifetime Achievement award to the inventor of the World Wide Web, BCS Distinguished Fellow, Sir Tim Berners-Lee, for his Outstanding Contribution to IT.

Computer Aid International logoComputer Aid International is pleased to announce that a total of £11,716 was raised during the UK IT Industry Awards evening on 12 November 2009.

They would like to thank everyone for their support in achieving this incredible sum of money. The money raised will help equip 12 hospitals in East Africa with telemedicine equipment.
