Logos
Universities and colleges with BCS Educational Affiliate status are encouraged to use the ‘BCS Educational Affiliate Member’ logo on webpages and publicity material. In addition, there is a BCS Accredited Degree logo for use alongside the name of all programmes of study that have been accredited by BCS.
The logos may be used on the university or college website and in the prospectus or other material promoting the accredited programme. Please note that the BCS Accredited Degree logo must only be used with a programme that currently holds accredited status, and care must be taken not to mislead potential students if, for example, accreditation is about to expire.
Please note that these logos are the only logos permitted for use by Educational Affiliate members and by installing them you are agreeing to accept the licence in relation to the BCS Trademarks and undertaking to follow the BCS brand guidelines. Both of these documents are included within the logo installer. The main BCS logo is not permitted for use in any publicity materials for accredited programme.

Explanation of accredited status
The following wording, aimed at potential students, may be used with the logo to explain the meaning and to promote the value of accredited status.
CITP
This degree has been accredited by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. Accreditation is a mark of assurance that the degree meets the standards set by BCS. A full CITP accredited degree entitles you to apply for professional membership of BCS and meets the evidence of breadth of knowledge in the assessment for registration as a Chartered IT Professional (CITP). A partially accredited degree provides a valuable contribution towards professional membership and evidencing breadth of knowledge. Some employers give preference to applicants who have accredited degrees, and an accredited degree is likely to be recognised by other countries that are signatories to international accords.
CEng/IEng
This degree has been accredited by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT under licence from the UK regulator, the Engineering Council. Accreditation is a mark of assurance that the degree meets the standards set by the Engineering Council in the UK Standard for Professional Engineering Competence (UK-SPEC). An accredited degree will provide you with some or all of the underpinning knowledge, understanding and skills for eventual registration as an Incorporated (IEng) or Chartered Engineer (CEng). Some employers give preference to applicants who have accredited degrees, and an accredited degree is likely to be recognised by other countries that are signatories to international accords.
