Enter for an exam

Examinations are held twice per year in March / April and September. Examinations are held at independent venues (often the British Council) and not the approved centre.

Register online!

BCS members can now register for the Higher Education Qualifications online. If you are not yet a BCS member, you can apply for membership and exam entry online by following steps 1 to 3 below. If you are already a BCS member, please move directly to step 3:

Step 1: Join BCS

Step 2: Register for secure area access

Step 3: Online exam registration form

Online registration is now available for March 2018. This is currently available for UK, Ghana, Mauritius, Nigeria (Lagos),  Sri Lanka (Colombo), Sri Lanka (Jaffna) and Sri Lanka (Kandy).

For the UK, exams on the 20, 21 & 22 of March are being held in Swindon (B136) ; all other exams will be held in London (B107).

Other standard venues will be added as they become available.

All modules are available online.

The following application forms related to Higher Education Qualifications are available for download:

Examination entry form (PDF) (includes student membership registration)
Note: The Examination entry form should be used for non-standard venue exam entries and modules not available online. More standard venues will be available to book via the online facility above as they become available.

To make it easier to sit our exams, BCS may be able to find another venue for you, other than our standard venues. You will need to pay an increased module fee, for every module that you want to sit at a non-standard venue.

There will be an additional fee of £10 per module as well as the non-standard venue fee of £60.

If you would like to sit in Dubai, Jersey, Malta or Jakarta, please enquire with BCS for the appropriate centre fee.

Note: The closing date for paper applications is 15 January 2018; this date applies to all non-standard venues for standard exam entry, re-sits and exam withdrawals.

The online registration is now available for project proposals.

The session to use for this is August 2017. Please choose Unknown as your Approved Centre and B51 as the venue.
