He is a sought after speaker and is recognized around the world for his provocative and entertaining style. Kevin is a 30 year IT veteran and today he is VP and Chief Evangelist at Serena where he works with industry analysts, press, customers, partners and employees to exchange ideas about technology direction and business issues. He was educated in the UK and now lives and works in California.

Kirsty Burgess, Configuration Manager, Met Office

Kirsty BurgessOriginally from Perth, Kirsty studied at the University of Edinburgh for 4 years from 2007 graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Physics with Meteorology in June 2011. She worked at the Met Office as part of their summer placement scheme in 2010 and after graduation (and a brief stint as a waitress) moved to Exeter to join the Met Office and the Configuration Management (CM) Team permanently in January 2012. She has been part of the CM Team for 2 ½ years and after a steep initial learning curve is now a CM, build and deployment specialist at the Met Office. She has a particular interest in Git, JIRA and their integrations.

Kylie Fowler, Independent IT Asset Management Consultant, Practical ITAM

Kylie FowlerKylie Fowler is an Independent IT Asset Management Consultant with 10 years experience as a hardware and software asset management specialist in a variety of companies and industries, including Finance, Insurance and Construction.

Kylie is passionate about the importance of aligning IT Asset Management to business needs and the importance of Risk Management to IT Asset Management professionals. She is a founding member of the Campaign for Clear Licensing and has presented at the British Computer Society (BCS) SAM Networking Meetings and was the key note speaker for the Heliview 2013 Software Asset Management Conference in the Netherlands.

She is treasurer of the BCS Configuration Management Specialist Group.

Lars Bendix, CM Educator and Researcher / Associate Professor, Lund University

Lars BendixLars Bendix is an associate professor in Computer Science at Lund University, Sweden since 2001 and before that he has worked in Denmark, Germany and Italy. His main research interest is software configuration management and how it can be used to support software development processes. He holds a PhD in Configuration Management and has more than 25 years of experience with research in and teaching of Configuration Management.

In 2001 Lund became the first university to have a permanent course on Configuration Management and is today one of only three universities worldwide to teach Configuration Management on a permanent basis. He has collaborated with companies in Italy, Denmark and Sweden - and he is the founder and organizer of the Scandinavian Network of Excellence in Software Configuration Management. For the past ten years he has organized the Scandinavian SCM day in Lund.

Paul McAdam, Senior Anti-Piracy Lead, Microsoft UK Ltd

Paul McAdamPaul McAdam is a Senior Anti-Piracy lead at Microsoft UK and manages the UK SAM Engagement Team. Paul re-joined Microsoft in 2013 after 4 years building a successful business as an independent consultant and trainer in Software Asset Management and Licensing. During that time, he was involved in ISO 19770, Microsoft Certified Professional accreditations and developing and delivering much of the SAM and software licensing content on behalf of a number of vendors.

Previously, Paul worked in a number of roles at Microsoft including group manager for channel development in addition to spells in Microsoft Dynamics and strategy consulting. Prior to Microsoft, Paul was the client infrastructure manager at AstraZeneca US, successfully rolling out one of the world’s first Windows 2000 projects. His career began as an ICI graduate building experience as a developer and project manager and was one of the first Microsoft Certified Solution Developers in the UK. Outside of work Paul lives in Cheshire and is a keen tennis player and fan.

Richard Josey, Chair of CMSG

Richard JoseyRichard has 15 years experience in Service Management. His consulting has helped drive many organizations in their efforts to implement and imbed mature service management processes. This has comprised of numerous Incident, Request, Problem, Change, Configuration and Release Management processes, in a variety of environments. Richard is also Chair of the BCS Configuration Management Specialist Group.

Andy Fleck, Business Development Manager, Innovise ESM

Andy Fleck25 years’ experience in enterprise software delivering customer value from new technologies. Andy’s background is a technical one starting as a developer in the retail sector, transitioning to sales engineering at Informix and moving into sales & marketing as one of the first employees of Mercury Interactive back in the late 90s. At Mercury he spearheaded early adoption of the then new disruptive BSM solutions (Topaz, Business Availability Centre). Mercury was acquired by HP in 2006 and with it Andy had a successful career implementing HP solutions. Andy is now heading up new technologies at Innovise Enterprise Service Management (ESM) looking at how adoption of new technologies can transform Service Management & Assurance.

Stephen Hart, CTO, Moogsoft

Stephen HartStephen Hart, FBCS is CTO - International for Moogsoft. Previously Chief Technical Officer at Innovise ESM Ltd. Hart has been working within IT for over 25 years holding many technical and managerial roles. Starting his career as a development manager for a small software house specialising in educational software for the BBC micro. After a number of UK focused support management roles, including payroll systems manager for Star Computers plc. and Systems and support manager Peter Williams Group, he also wrote and support his own Sales order processing system with a small investor backed team.

He then went on to a number of global IT management positions, including global product manager customer service and AR systems and European Service Management Systems Manager, for DHL International. After a stint as an ITIL consult and service delivery manager for the new Centrica Electricity Billing systems, he joined ICL Fujitsu. Shortly after he co-founded Infrasolve Ltd and working as a ‘hands on’ technical director helped drive its success.

Dr Tuuli Sutinen, ITSM Consultant, Innovise ESM

Tuuli SutinenTuuli is a presales advisor at Innovise ESM. Her vision in Enterprise Service Management is to 'make things work better' through people, process, [then] technology, in a way that positively impacts the bottom line. Tuuli has an interest in Business Transition, Knowledge Sharing and Orchestration. Working at Innovise ESM, she has challenged and advised customers in various industries (including the charity sector, oil & gas, and finance) across the Service Lifecycle.

Tuuli received a PhD in Physics at the University of Cambridge, and she is a Member of Institute of Physics (previously active in the Printing and Graphics Science Group) and an Associate Member of BCS, where she is the SMSG Social Media Officer.

Richard Horton, Service Delivery Manager, NIHR Clinical Research Network

Richard HortonRichard has spent over 25 years in IS in a variety of roles encompassing both private and public sectors. In recent years he has developed and managed transition processes within an externally facing organisational unit. Richard is currently Chair of itSMF’s Service Transition Special Interest Group, and in this capacity leads various collaborative ventures, including the first itSMF Change Management Masterclass. Having joined priSM as a DPSM, he was recently one of the first round of people to complete the Open University’s PGC in ITSM. Richard lives in York and is helping set up itSMF Local early evening meetings there for people who live or work there and are involved in ITSM.

Michel Delran, EMEA SACM Portfolio Lead, UNISYS Ltd

Michel Delran

Michel has over 30 years of experience in the IT Service Management market and was one if the pioneers to implement Asset Management services back in 1993 in France. Since he has a track record of Asset and Configuration projects in large enterprises. He acts now as Subject Matter Expert for Unisys Managed Services for all SACM related projects in EMEA.

Working with a company providing outsourcing services to international enterprises, he is designing, implementing SACM projects while leading and mentoring operational asset management teams within advanced and complex ITIL compliant service provisioning.

Michel is always on the lookout for the design of innovative services making sure they are viable and profitable for his company while attending to the needs of his customers, in line with the current IT challenges.

Brian Scott, CMSG Member

Brian ScottAn active member of the BCS being Chair of the Service Management SG and a previous Secretary of the Configuration Management Specialist Group contributing to various events, publications and, as a highlight, involved in the SFIA Version 4 Update project running through to new Version 5. Brian has 25+ years IT, Service and Telecoms Management experience with last 6 years experience in industry as Design Engineer, Design Authority, Asset & CCRM Consultant and Solution Architect covering development and implementation of comprehensive Defence, Blue Light and Homeland Security Managed Service systems' Enterprise Asset and Service Management toolsets, processes and organisation.

Brian has current experience leading the set up and operation of a complex multi-service SAM and CCRM group. An engineer at heart he will cover practical approaches to understand tooling, data and technology strategies for dealing with all the issues that Asset and Configuration Management practitioners experience working in business, development and service orientated environments.

Gemma Walker, Microsoft Senior Consultant, Livingstone

Gemma WalkerAfter spending 10 years working for various resellers working and improving the licensing contracts for major customers, Gemma moved fully into Software Asset Management around 8 years ago. She started by designing a new reseller offering around Software Asset Management to help support an existing licensing team (which she subsequently managed), she is now solely focused on supporting customers in understanding their Microsoft licensing position either on behalf of Microsoft or directly with global customers. With an exceptional knowledge of Microsoft licensing and best practice business process through ITIL, Gemma is well known as an expert in the Microsoft SAM arena and is the Microsoft Senior Consultant at Livingstone.

Robert CowhamA recently published author, and frequent presenter at industry events, Robert was Chair of the BCS CMSG for 7 years, and is currently Vice Chair. He now works for Perforce Software and is primarily involved with consultancy and training, as well as some development projects. He has long been interested in all aspects of software development, and has also applied configuration management principles to the documentation and management of data centres and infrastructure. Robert also seeks to apply continuous improvement principles to his practice of the Japanese martial art of Aikido.
