Professional Project in IT

In order to complete the Diploma in IT candidates must complete a project with a recommended minimum study time of 200 hours.

If advancing to the Professional Graduate Diploma in IT level, candidates are not required to complete a Professional Project at Diploma level. In order to complete the Professional Graduate Diploma in IT, candidates must complete a project with a recommended minimum study time of 300 hours.

It is recommended that before you start the project you read the relevant syllabus below.

Successful completion of the Professional Graduate Diploma in IT (incorporating PGD Project) enables you to apply for selected postgraduate courses with UK universities.

The submission of a Project Proposal is mandatory. Your submission must be received by BCS by 30 April (September submission) and 31 August (for April submissions).

Important: Project proposals must reach us by the above closing dates in order for your project submission to be accepted in the corresponding session detailed above.

Please download the Project Proposal form, complete it and email it to exams@bcs.uk. Payment must be made before we process your Proposal. Payment can now be made online. Send a copy of the email receipt received with your proposal to show that payment has already been made. Important - Candidates in Mauritius

Mauritian candidates must submit their Professional Project reports to the BCS Regional Manager: Mr Iqbal Boolaky, 14a Ganachaud Lane, Castel-Eau Coule, Mauritius by the following dates:

  • 31 July (for September assessment)
  • 31 January (for April assessment)

Each report must comprise the correctly completed Project forms and a bank draft of £140 (comprising £105 PGD Project entry and moderation fee and £35 postage contribution for subsequent courier despatch to BCS)
