BCS User Qualifications and Accessibility

BCS seeks to provide equal access to assessment for all candidates, ensuring that there are no unnecessary barriers to assessment and that any reasonable adjustments for candidates preserve the validity, reliability and integrity of its qualifications.

There is an ever expanding suite of IT user qualifications offered by BCS. The European Computer Driving Licence qualification (ECDL), for example, is regarded amongst industry and commerce in the UK as the benchmark of IT competency and an essential component of an employee's CV.

As a consequence, there is greater demand and expectation for such qualifications to be accessible to all. This is of paramount importance to BCS.

In this section you will find information about how we are improving the accessibility of our IT User qualifications such as ECDL, BCS Level 1 and BCS Level 2. The policy covers our accessibility guidelines and the procedures for requesting reasonable adjustments.
