In this lecture, Jonathan Briggs, Professor of eCommerce at Kingston University will explore the power of Radio Frequency Identification Tags and explain the technology and how when combined with other mobile technologies RFID enables new powerful applications.

The lecture will also explore the possible dark side of RFID in which companies and governments can follow your movements and record your buying habits. Will RFID protect us all from terrorism or simply remove the last shreds of privacy in our lives?
