Summary:
Business Rule Management involves the definition of rule services for process automation, and the management of the rules by the business.

This "business rules approach" separates business logic from data, and indeed business logic from process, and is sometimes associated with Business Process Management.

We review the history and use of business rule engines and management systems, up to their use today across a wide variety of industries and uses.
