College guilty of fake accreditation

A college that claimed to be accredited by BCS and the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) has been fined £7,000.

London College of Business and Accountancy Ltd pleaded not guilty to the charge of claiming accreditation but was found guilty on 8 October by magistrates at Haringey Magistrates Court.

The company was fined a total of £7,015 (£3,500 in relation to BCS and £2,500 in relation to AAT) with £1,000 costs.
