In our first members event for 2006, the BCS-SMSG are pleased to have the support of the BCS-IRMA (Information Risk Management & Auditing) SG as subject matter experts on risk management issues. The ITIL® Service Management guidelines and ISO20000 emphasise risk management processes such as service continuity, security - but what are best ways to implement them? How can ITIL® help organisations meet regulatory needs such as the FSA, Sarbanes-Oxley or frameworks such as BS7799 This workshop session will cover practical issues around the introduction of risk management disciplines.

Guest Speaker - John Mitchell, Committee Member BCS-IRMA

Dr. Mitchell is currently a committee member of BCS-IRMA, with additional responsibility for editing the IRMA journal. John's extensive experience in this field includes his audit management roles with BT and British Gas, as well as consulting is this field for many years.
