In our second members event for 2006, the BCS-SMSG focused on the service delivery issues of service continuity and availability management.

As organisations become more mature in their use of IT, they find that recovery needs directly impact on systems architectures, supplier relationships and job roles. The event helped those unfamiliar with these subjects gain a practical understanding of the issues involved.

This workshop session covered the best practice guidelines and involved attendees in applying their knowledge to exercises as small teams. The event was led by the SMSG chairman David Cuthbertson, with support from committee members.
