Description:

In 2005 the new strategic business of Barclays Wealth emerged from seven legacy areas within the Bank through a rapid amalgamation.  Within IT this necessitated the creation of a unified IT operation and stabilisation of ageing technology.  Not surprisingly, ITIL v2 was a central tool in that process.  Perhaps rather more surprising was how the timely publication of ITIL v3 fitted so neatly with the next phase.

The evolution in approach from v2 to v3 has meant that ITIL continues to be a useful tool in the progression of Barclays Wealth Technology's operating model. Jason K. Scott-Taggart, Head of Service Support & Delivery and Barclays Wealth Technology, will give an overview of this story and how the change in ITIL has complemented the journey.
