Your Branch needs your support to continue in its work for all members. We need new committee members to help us run our events, and to continue building relationships with the wider community of IT professionals in West Yorkshire. We would be grateful for all nominations to join the committee using the forms included.  Nominations for committee members (other than Officers) will also be accepted from the floor at the AGM.

Nominations are sought for the Offices of Chair, Secretary and Treasurer, and also for general membership of the Committee.

Please note that, according to Branch rules, nominations for the election of Chair, Secretary and Treasurer must be signed[1] by two Branch members and lodged with the Secretary Nick Seddon (nick.seddon@bcs.org.uk) at least 14 days before the Annual General Meeting; i.e. the 9th September 2010. The consent of the nominee must be lodged with the nomination. A copy of the nomination form can be downloaded from here.

The previous year’s committee is listed in full in our website. Roles within the committee (other than Officer roles) are agreed at the first committee meeting following the AGM.

[1] For convenience you may send a separate electronic copy of your nomination form to your proposer and seconder and ask them to return that copy by email to the Branch Secretary (nick.seddon@bcs.org.uk). Please also ensure your own original is returned by email.  Each supporter’s electronic copy must be returned to the Branch Secretary by the required date.
