Description:

ECQA (European Certification and Qualification Association, not for profit) has established Europe wide procedures for online skills assessment, online training, exams generated from European test question pools, and exams. So far more than 6600 managers were certified in Europe and more than 10000 attended training courses.

ECQA set up a pool for job roles which drive innovation and represent core competencies in which the industry shall focus in the next years. So far about 27 such job roles with competencies have been integrated into the pool.

In this workshop we plan to discuss the skills and core competencies of three selected key professions, and to obtain feedback from BCS members and the audience in general on these core competencies. The workshop results will be documented and will be an input to the European job role committees in ECQA.

Target Group

The target group comprises managers and researchers who deal with innovation and change management in organisations and who are involved in human skills / resource strategies. From the pool of 27 job roles we selected the following to be discussed in the workshop:

ECQA Certified Functional Safety Engineer/Manager

ECQA Certified Valorisation Manager
