The iPad in Education

Dr Colin J Lumsden, Senior Teaching Fellow, Academic Lead for e-Learning, Manchester Medical School.

Manchester Medical School embarked on an ambitious project to provide iPads to students in the clinical years of the MBChB degree programme. This project was the first of its kind outside of the continental US and remains the largest programme of this kind. Colin Lumsden is the Academic Lead for the programme and Lead for eLearning at the medical school. The lecture will discuss the rationale behind the use of tablets in medical education and how they are being used by students in the clinical setting.

The event starts at 6.30pm with refreshments from 6pm.
