Synopsis:

Philip Mayo, Senior IT Architect, Yorkshire Water

Phil presents a flavour of the future scale for social media use in the next 10 years, exploring what it means for large organisations, particularly in the utility industry. From YouTube videos reflecting companies handling their social media very badly to real examples demonstrating where organisations are getting it right. With hints and tips on how you can use social media to manage online reputation, provide customer service and help in crisis management, this talk is funny, engaging and scary all in one!

Chris Allen, Managing Partner, Blacks

Chris has used Twitter extensively over the last few years to market Blacks and the personnel who make up the firm. The tweets he sends to his many followers are based around legal, sporting and local events. Blacks has expanded it's team of "tweeters" over the last 12 months and there is an ever increasing use of Linked In throughout the firm.

Unlike many of their competitors, Chris and his team have embraced social media as an alternative source of communicating with clients and potential clients. The team have a set of basic rules by which to gauge twitter material, but it's not rocket science! He is happy to share them with you. Come along and get to grips with how you can use social media effectively, with real and tangible results from a firm that understands how it works.
