Inadequate load testing is a recipe for disaster for today’s networked  organisations that live or die by the quality and performance of their server based systems. Load testing is crucial to ensure that applications are reliable and responsive. It also provides vital information for capacity planning. This talk will provide an overview of the load/performance testing of modern IT systems, the challenges, pitfalls and key concepts.

Gordon McKeown is Group Director, Product Management for TestPlant the rapidly growing UK based software tools company and is a BCS member. He started coding professionally 35 years ago and was co-designer of the performance testing tool that forms part of TestPlant’s eggPlant range. He has delivered testing solutions for many household names in both the private and public sectors.
