Synopsis:

As your CMDB grows bigger and bigger, day after day, would you say you are still in control and can evaluate and guaranty the accuracy of the data that people and tools have been inserting? Even the best spirited individuals make mistakes and the discovery tools, well, are just tools with more or less intelligence. How could you refine your reconciliation and verification processes so you know exactly what is good and what is bad data and therefore do something about it?

Michel Delran from Unisys will present a simple method that you can apply to better understand the lifecycle of the CI attributes. You can expand this analytical concept to manual or automated update of Cs/Assets and relationships. Michel has been using this technique both in reconciliation automation and process/procedures improvements.

This has been implemented successfully at different organisations ranging from 4000 to 50000 seats.

The session will be about 75 minutes with time for questions and discussion. With networking afterwards as part of the normal BCS CMSG hospitality.
