Most of us use the internet to browse, buy things, talk to our friends and many other activities. This is fantastic for the Cyber criminal who wishes to exploit any weakness in our security to make a profit at our expense. The government launched an initiative last year called get safe online and recently has been asking BCS to support this.

This session will be a combined talk and workshop to help people with there security by pointing out ways you can be caught out and also how to prevent it. We will have specialists from the `Computer Forensics and security section of the School of Computing at the University and also IT specialists working on security within there own companies to answer questions.
