Bring your own device (BYOD) is on the rise, as employees continue to use their own Laptops, Smartphones and Tablets for business purposes, whether sanctioned or unsanctioned.

Our industry expert speakers will look at the challenges BYOD creates and how in many respects, this is no longer BYOD, but BYOC as employees bring their own Contracts, Cloud, Content and Collaboration tools.

As adoption of these devices grows it starts to change working practices and the traditional relationship with IT and communications as a feature of the 'work station'. It might also bring into question why many employees have desks at all?...

We will also hear a case study presentation of how BYOD is affecting Greater Manchester Police and the benefits it can bring.

Schedule

2.00pm - Doors open - Refreshments & Networking

2.30pm - Rob Bamforth - BYOD and the decline of the desk(top)

3.30pm - Refreshments & Networking

4.00pm - Mario Devargas - Greater Manchester Police Case Study
