Ultra fast, low risk Software Releases...Is Continuous Delivery the answer?

Customers expect real-time response, and you need to deliver new features constantly to stay in the game. What’s the answer?...

Continuous Delivery is an automated process that accelerates the release of software and digital services and can help large organizations become as lean, agile and innovative as start-ups. It allows you to release a new service, a better web page, a bug fix, or a special offer rapidly, and with minimum manual intervention. As it becomes possible to make more frequent small changes, which are far less risky than a few large ones, you get dramatically faster and more focused feedback about what works and what doesn’t.

Like DevOps, Agile and similar recent initiatives, Continuous Delivery is fundamentally a set of practices and attitudes. Continuous delivery isn’t 'solved' by putting a smart magic box, suite or toolset in a corner; it is implemented by committing to adopt a mindset and working towards a set of goals derived from those principles. The benefits of successfully adopting Continuous Delivery could have a real strategic impact on the competitive advantage of an organisation...

In this session, our industry experts will introduce the ideas of Continuous Delivery as a practical everyday process, using some of the techniques and technologies from real world projects as examples.

MoneySupermarket will also be giving an overview of how they gone from coffee fuelled early morning software releases taking many hours, with many teams around the business all performing their tasks in a well-orchestrated sequence. To ‘touch of the button’ releases, anytime of the day with little or no manual intervention.
