Richard Conway

Summary:
In this talk Richard will talk about what big data hype means for businesses and how they can reconnect with their customers using modern big data frameworks such as Apache Hadoop, Spark and Storm from structured and unstructured data sources. The cloud has levelled the playing field and allowed the smallest and largest businesses to innovate faster. Richard will demonstrate how he has used the Microsoft cloud with a scale out strategy to help consolidate data sources and provide predictions from data in a uniquely agile way.

Speaker Profile:
Richard is a developer of 18 years currently working with both the Microsoft and Linux stacks. He is a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional and Insider for Microsoft Azure and sits on a number of Microsoft committees and steering groups for Microsoft cloud technologies. For the past few years through company Elastacloud and the UK Azure Users Group which he co-founded he has spent all his time working with Big Data and Machine Learning technologies at scale.
