Synopsis:

The Elite Group of the BCS would like to thank Michael Sheehy of ASOS, Marcus East of Comic Relief (now with Apple), Mike Wright of Man Group and Ian McDonald of News International for their very valuable contributions to this event.

The video lasts 90 minutes and starts with the speakers introducing themselves and giving an outline of their experiences. This is followed by questions, in the following order, which were largely raised by members of the audience on: market access to Cloud providers, security, changing risk profiles, future skill needs, doing due diligence on prospective suppliers, support, benefits and costs, Emperor's new clothes?, lock in and open standards, innovation, consumerisation versus central control, looking back from 2016, data security and the US Government, traditional versus new players and five year outlook.

Unfortunately, we were not able to capture some of Ian's insights due to poor audio pick up and we apologise for any inconvenience caused. Headsets are recommended. There is now a BCS Elite Cloud Forum LinkedIn Group for those wishing to take the discussion further. Look forward to seeing your views there. Chris Tiernan, ELITE Committee.
