The AGM will be followed by a keynote presentation from IBM's Tony Boobier.

Future Present : The impact of Big Data and Modern Analytics on Business Information Systems

Tony Boobier holds a WW Executive role at IBM, focussing on solutions for Risk and Finance, and was previously IBM Insurance Analytics leader for EMEA, with active interests in China and Latin America.

After 20 years in customer facing roles in Financial Services, he recognised technology as the great enabler of industry change, as currently evidenced by the Big Data revolution, and crossed over to the ‘dark side’. He has now worked in the technology sector for nearly a decade, with a global remit, a global voice, and a global perspective.

In a thought-provoking presentation, Tony will discuss

  • The challenges and threats of ‘Big Data’, and how value is extracted for through the effective use of analytics
  • How to implement an analytics strategy within your  organization
  • What the future might hold for us as individuals and IT professionals
