Synopsis:

ISO/IEC 20000, the international standard for service management, appeared initially as BS15000 published in 2000 and then 2 editions of ISO/IEC 20000 published in 2005 and 2011. Services have evolved and IT enabled services have become pervasive in many areas of our lives.

The session will provide a brief introduction to ISO/IEC 20000 for those who do not know the standard. It will go on to review how the standard is applicable to traditional and changing services environment such as Cloud, 'as a service' models,  SIAM, Devops, LeanITSM, Agile and ITIL.

Finally, Lynda will give an insight into the future edition of ISO/IEC 20000 due out in 2018 providing an opportunity for discussion and influence with your views on what is important for an international standard for service management in the future.
