Joint BCS Birmingham Branch and Birmingham Local Networks  of  the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET).

Synopsis

Birmingham Local Networks of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) and BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT have joined forces to deliver a workshop on using Innovation tools through Education. 

This fantastic opportunity will provide individuals with the introduction to using the Raspberry Pi to stimulate individual’s skills. You might be a teacher looking to innovate the curriculum, a student wanting to enhance your learning, or an enthusiast wanting to develop.  

Birmingham City University, a partner in the Network of Teaching Excellence in Computer Science will be hosting the workshop. The later part of the workshop will reflect on a home-grown innovation project VegPi by participating in a Living Labs Application (LILA EU Interreg NWE-IVB) user group.

Founder of TechSurgeons and a fellow academic Prabjot Singh will lead the hands on introductory workshop to Raspberry Pi. This bespoke lab will provide a unique opportunity gain practical experience with programmable electronics.

A dynamic session with entrepreneurial Innovator’s Ami Johnson and Zareena Naz will present project VegPi. An opportunity to have a say in today’s ‘product for tomorrow’ and witness a real-time innovation through education.
