PROMSG project management basics series

Like it or not, many IT people drift into project management responsibilities without much in the way of formal training. This FREE event is a trial to see if there would be a demand for a series of occasional PROMSG events which focussed on providing guidance to IT people who feel they need to grasp some basic techniques to deal with their day-to-day work responsibilities.

MS Project Overview

What will the lecture cover: There will be a short talk, to give you the 10 key steps of scheduling a project using MS Project.

You will learn how to:

  • Create resources
  • Create a Gantt Chart Schedule
  • Enter milestones and summary tasks
  • Allocate resources to tasks
  • View different views, table and reports to get details and interesting information about your project.

MS Project is an excellent tool for project management, independent of specific PM theories and disciplines.
