We all have experienced directly or indirectly the increasing use of social media like Facebook, Twitter. Yet how much has project management and project managers changed the way we work? How can we benefit from this technology and use it in project management (PM) to help our projects succeed? Jonnie Jensen, a social business strategist and founder of Live And Social will explain why PM needs to change to use the social media technology and how project managers can confidently "go social". We will have an overview of the importance of social media for PM, the failings of traditional linear PM, the types of tools and the challenges of implementing social media within an organisation / team. It is something that all project managers should be aware of because social media is revolutionising the way we work together. It can enhance efficiency and productivity together with contributing to the project's success.
