Event overview:

An event aimed at giving new company start-ups, SMEs, recent graduates and current students, (particularly those enrolled on games and media related courses), some insight into the various elements of the games industry through a series of lectures delivered by industry representatives.

The lectures by various industry people will cover the ground ranging from single-person development, through indie & mobile companies, and AAA studios.

A Q&A/Tips session on CVs and Interviews will give thought to what employers in the industry will be looking for from applicants, and a Keynote presentation will be sought to inspire those present.

Finally, there’ll be an after-show party, featuring a LAN gaming event.

CV/Interview Q&A and tips panel

Features as many of the speakers during the day who want to take part, especially any with experience of hiring (or maybe applying a lot!). Questions to be seeded to begin with, and then opened to the floor. Suggested questions/topics (Richard H to chair this session):

  • What would be the thing(s) you personally would look for to distinguish a candidate?
  • Putting together memos and show reels
