Making it real - incorporating scenarios in your learning offering

People retain learning when it directly relates to what they need to do, so scenario design is a vital tool when creating learning - whether it is online or face to face. Using realistic scenarios makes a significant difference, so here we will explore how to create them, how to keep them fresh and appealing, how to build scenarios which encourage people to try new things and how to incorporate scenario-based progress checks into learning. Along the way we’ll look at the importance of SME’s in the process, how to convince stakeholders and sponsors of the value of using this approach and how scenarios can help you enhance the learner experience.
