Description:

This presentation, led by Roger Joby, will introduce the concept of Earned Value, a means of measuring project performance and progress in an objective manner. It will cover the basics, and explain the benefits and the pitfalls of using earned value.

Earned Value is not a silver bullet, there is no guarantee of project success just because it uses earned value, but it does provide a tool which can help the project manager make informed decisions and know when to intervene.

Earned Value is not new, however it has taken until now to initiate the production of an ISO standard,  Steve Wake the UK Champion and leading expert on Earned Value will be talking about the production of the standard and what this actually means for the profession.

Finally, a number of the UK's leading practitioners will be on hand to answer your questions.
