Event description:

Jason Brownlee is the CEO of Colourtext, a start-up based in Gateshead that’s bridging the gap between classic market research and the fast moving world of data analytics. The company’s focus is on the social web, which generates huge volumes of market feedback every day. Colourtext develops software and techniques that rapidly and accurately analyse vast quantities of this material. Jason will discuss a recent project using a technique called “social mapping” to study how the BYOD trend (bring your own device) is changing Enterprise IT. This revealed a fascinating picture of how the emerging field of Enterprise Mobility is introducing a new consumerist paradigm that threatens the “traditional” IT department and all of the career structure and supplier interests that depend on it.

Drinks and a light supper will be available from 5:30pm with the main event kicking off at 6:00pm.
