Abstract

Care.data is the national programme seeking to collect data from all NHS - funded care settings and link it within a secure data repository to create a patient-centric data resource which will support service planning and delivery; research and economic growth.

It will affect all of us who use NHS services - find out more and help shape the debate about public sector data use.

Janet King from NHS England will share the background to the national care.data programme; discuss some of the opportunities, challenges and lessons learned and discuss how public and professional perception shape data strategy.
