Abstract

This talk will provide an introduction to Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Business Process Management (BPM), and the investments that IBM is making to the modern mainframe by incorporating open standard technologies from its WebSphere and Rational software brands. We will introduce some of the standards and technologies underpinning SOA's and how they are extending the life of core mainframe middleware and applications by integrating them with recent advances in IT.
