The purpose and objective of the day is to assemble EA Practitioners in a single venue, collaborate, share common patterns, practices, artefacts and experiences. This would enable the participants to both contribute and learn.

The security session will walk through the overall architecture of key security capabilities for a modern networked IT. It will also discuss the challenges of making sound security architecture design, especially when an agile approach is used with a rapidly changing technology environment.

Facilitators/Presenter Bios

Daljit Banger - Holds a Master of Science Degree and is a Fellow of the BCS with 30 years Global IT Industry experience, having undertaken assignments in the USA, Sweden, Switzerland, Brazil, Finland, Hong Kong to name but a few, on behalf of large multi-national companies. Daljit has held the post of CTO, Chief Architect and Head of Enterprise Architecture for numerous multimillion pound clients. Daljit’s primary focus is on architectural realisation i.e. delivering the value proposition of Enterprise Architecture and providing the EA community free software to promote the concepts.

Dr. Colin Smart - Over 15 years of experience in architecture (solution and enterprise) across a range of industries and organisations from large corporates to SME. Colin has also worked across industries covering both public and private sector organisations. He has led the formation of Enterprise Architecture functions as well as capability uplift within existing teams. Recently focusing on delivering and guiding the architecture of £multi-million programmes after developing the strategies that gave rise to the programmes.

Lorne Mitchell - A Fellow of the BCS, Lorne is a seasoned operational strategy and marketing consultant to the Telecoms, Media and Technology industries. He has created and architected several innovative approaches to the commercialisation of network interfaces for both voice and data services. Lorne also has deep practical experience of shaping and running change programmes in many clients across many cultures, and previously held senior operational and consulting roles in BT, MCI, AT&T, KPN, PwC and IBM.

Sachin Bansal - Advisory Architect and Solution Manager with IBM. Sachin has more than 18 years plus of in-depth IT industry experience on large scale complex systems integration and Transformation programs. Prior to IBM, Sachin had opportunity to work with Alcatel-Lucent, Siemens, Ford, BBC, Vodafone Group , BT Group etc.

Lyndon Lee - Lyndon is currently a Managing Consultant at Capgemini, primarily focusing on cybersecurity and particularly security architecture for the financial, retail, life science, and the energy sectors. Previously he worked as management consultant and enterprise architect in various organisations including SSE, Maersk, LSE, John Lewis, the Home Office, Syngenta, Sainsbury's, Tesco, Lloyds, RBS, UBS, Barclays, Thomson Reuters, BT, etc.
