Synopsis:

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the BCS Chester and North Wales Branch (CNW) will be held on Wednesday, 23rd November 2016 starting at 6:30 pm with drinks and buffet included on arrival.

The meeting will be held at Moneypenny’s wonderful new office in Wrexham

During the AGM CNW members will then elect the new committee for the coming year.

Please note that only CNW members are eligible for election to the committee and to vote during the AGM. Any member wishing to become a Committee Member should apply to the sender for a nomination form. The forms should be returned no later than 5pm 21st November 2016.

The AGM will be followed by a talk from Ross Butler, Senior iOS & Android Engineer at the BBC.

Ross’ talk is titled “Setting Sail For Adventure - Making Playtime Island”

The majority of organisations engaged in software development these days utilise some form of Agile practice, however the details often vary between organisations and even between teams within the same organisation. This talk will cover how Agile practices and processes were employed by the BBC Children’s Apps Team to deliver value to the audience during the development of CBeebies Playtime Island.

Notification of items wishing to be raised at the AGM under "Any other business" should be sent to the address below not less than three days in advance. Admission of items not so notified at the AGM will be at the discretion of the Chair.

The Agenda and Minutes from the AGM are available at https://www.dropbox.com/s/huoerox2baqft5b/AGM%202016%20Agenda.docx?dl=0
