James Freed (AMBCS)

An experienced project, programme and operational manager and national leader for health, care and public health informatics. He wrote the PHE Knowledge Strategy which provides a vision for knowledge and information for the whole public health system.

He is currently leading a programme of work for the National Information Board to help the entire health and care workforce make the best use of data and technology. It incorporates the professionalism of the Health Informatics workforce and strengthening the role of leadership in fostering a innovative and capable culture in health and care organisations.

James has also coordinated a staff-authored information strategy for HEE.
