What are you reading?

We’d like to know which business book(s) you’ve read recently, and why...

Whether you’re looking for career guidance, need a textbook to support a training course you’re doing or just brushing up your knowledge of a specific topic, there’s always a good reason for picking up a business book.

I asked a few colleagues here about which books they’d picked up recently and why:

  • Project Management for IT-related Projects - it was recommended reading material for the exam
  • Business Analysis - BCS textbook to support studies as they were preparing for the BA foundation certificate exam
  • Winning teams, winning culture - to hear from experts with great advice about helping to win and embrace everything that goes with significant change
  • The Curve: From Freeloaders into Superfans: The future of Business - general interest to read how to make money when everyone wants everything for free
  • The Art of SEO - to gain a better understanding of how search engines and search rankings work

So what about you? Comment below and we look forward to finding out what’s been on your reading list lately.

The Mind Gym: Wake your mind up - a great little book that helps spot mental habits with a view to potentially changing them!

The Lean Startup - Eric Ries.

An excellent book about measuring success of a new inititive (beit a startup organisation, or an initivite within an existing enterprise).

Actionable Metrics is the key to developing evidence based strategy, rather than gut-feel gun-ho egos.

Staying the Course as a CIO - Jonathan Mitchell.

    Great and very "readable".
