Infosecurity Europe: Book competition

Information Risk ManagementWin a copy of Information Risk Management

As Europe’s number one information security event, we’re delighted to be exhibiting at Infosecurity Europe again this year. Through our membership and professional development services, we’re supporting information security professionals in a variety of ways:

  • Exchanging IT expertise and knowledge
Members are encouraged to network with like-minded professionals. With Specialist Groups in areas such as Information Security (ISSG), the Security Community of Expertise (ScoE) and the Identity Assurance Working Group, we are able to draw on the interest and expertise of our members on specific topics.
  • Careers in information security
Information is an organisation’s most important asset. With this in mind, we offer a range of professional certifications from foundation to more subject-focused practitioner levels that ensure IT professionals are able to adequately protect these assets.
  • Cyber security training
To ensure everyone in corporate organisations is sufficiently trained on cyber security, last year we launched a cyber awareness e-learning course. Too many security breaches are caused by inadvertent human error. Online training with assessment is a cost and time effective way to ensure all employees are more cyber-savvy.
  • Partnerships
The Institute collaborates with government, industry and relevant bodies to establish good working practices, codes of conduct, skills frameworks and common standards. Working with CESG to provide assessments for those working in information assurance, and AXELOS who will soon be launching a new cyber resilience portfolio, RESILIA™ we want to make sure you have access to the latest training and development opportunities to be the best in your field.

Come and see us on stand A115, our team will be happy to talk to you about your career.

In the meantime, we’re giving away a copy of our book, Information Risk Management. Just comment below what’s the best thing BCS provides for information security professionals by noon on Friday 5 June - we will pick one person at random to win the book.

We’re also offering 25% discount on our security related books. Visit www.bcs.org/securitybooks and enter promo code ISE-5.

If you are at Infosecurity Europe this week, have a great event and we hope you’ll pop by to see us.
