The Mysteries and Myths around Workforce Credentialing + AGM

Workforce Credentialing has evolved as a term, especially in the Certification world, over the last few years and is hailed by some as the key to addressing the limitations of certification in a broader competency evaluation approach. Others see it as a kind of modern-day version of Boy Scout badging. This workshop will engage participants in a discussion around how to leverage a Workforce Credentialing approach which adds value and address some provocative questions, such as:

    • Do we have a common understanding of Workforce Credentialing?
    • Is Workforce Credentialing as it stands today just taking us back to the concept of Boy
    • Scout badges or will it evolve to bridge the growing divide between the personalised learning experience and the more rigid Certification experience?
    • Will badging replace certification?
    • Does Workforce Credentialing add value or just ‘dumb down’ Certification?

These and other questions will form the basis of a frank discussion around the future evolution of Workforce Credentialing, giving organisations an opportunity to make their voices heard on where to add value.
