Professor Jurg Gutknecht, Professor of Computer Science at the ETH Zürich.

Summary:
I will present a new computing model that unifies concurrent programming with object orientation. The development of a corresponding, experimental programming language called Active C# was part of a collaboration with Microsoft Research. As a proof of concept, I will apply the new model to some archetypal concurrency exercises such as John Trono's Santa Claus.
