Simpl has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with BCS ASSIST

Healthcare IT advisor and integrator Simpl has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with BCS ASSIST to share its knowledge, skills and expertise of integrated care with the BCS ASSIST membership community.

Simpl is currently building a Single Community Care Record (SCCR) for Torbay Care Trust, which will provide community-based staff, such as district nurses, social workers, therapists and learning disabilities care staff, with access to patient records, via tablets, PCs or smartphones (online and offline). The SCCR is a good example of how technology and collaboration can support organisations to move forward, become more productive, reduce costs and improve the quality of the care they provide.

“We are aiming to be an active member of BCS ASSIST,” said Paul Malcolm, EMEA Regional Director, Simpl. We want to support the professional standards of those working in and for informatics in health and social care. Wherever possible, we aim to directly involve Torbay Care Trust and other customers in our support of BCS ASSIST so that those organisations can share their intelligence and best practice first-hand with BCS ASSIST members.”

Adam Drury, Chair of BCS ASSIST said: “Integration of health and social care is a growing area of interest for our member community. We’re extremely pleased to be working with Simpl and have the opportunity to draw on the team’s knowledge and skills to support our members.”
