Only two years old the BCS Data Centre Specialist Group now has over 650 members. It has also contributed and influenced the way in which the industry looks at energy with the data centre and IT systems. Having played a major role in the development of the EU Code of Conduct for Data Centres and initiated a project jointly funded by the Carbon Trust and Romonet to develop a data centre energy and cost simulation tool, the group feels it is making its mark on some of the profile issues that face the IT industry today. The DCSG will present its accomplishments to date in terms of the help that is available to those looking to drive cost and energy efficiency into their whole IT stack, starting from within the data centre.

This event is open to all (both BCS and non BCS members), free of charge, no booking is required.
