IT Professional Awards Logo If you think your IT department is a cut above the rest, why not get it officially recognised by winning a BCS IT Professional Award?

The medallists and winners are examples of how to apply IT best practices to deliver tangible benefits to their organisations.

There are several different categories of awards: technology, business achievement, mobile computing, women in IT, individual excellence, and the president's special choice. Each year the BCS president chooses a category - this year he picked investment in information security.

The awards are designed to mark the key contribution made by the IT profession to UK economic prosperity, business efficiency and public services. They are run in association with Computer Weekly.

A representative of all medallist organisations will be invited to the Awards Presentation Ceremony on 7 December as guests of the sponsor. The winners will be revealed on the evening.

The deadlines to enter the technology or business achievements awards categories are fast approaching: 31 March and 5 April respectively. The deadline for the other categories is 30 June.
