For its latest guest lecture, the Merseyside Branch of the BCS is delighted to welcome Rob Smith of John Moores University.

As an expert in astrophysical computing, Rob will discuss and illustrate the work of the Astrophysics Research Institute, the telescope, astronomical and IT hardware, robotic control, software, remote telescope operations and associated issues such as security.

This much anticipated presentation is open to all, both members and non-members are welcome.
