Job descriptions made easy

Rowers celebrating success BCS IT Job Describer, a new professional development solution that will help employers build job descriptions for their IT staff, is to be launched at an event in London on 26 April.

IT Job Describer enables employers to quickly identify their IT staff's skills and competencies. It uses the industry IT skills, training and development standard, SFIAplus version 3, guaranteeing that it is in line with best practice.

The half-day launch event is aimed at CEOs, and HR and IT directors/managers.

Participants will be given a demonstration of IT Job Describer and how to create job descriptions. They will also learn about the new tool's relationship with the recently updated SFIAplus.

The event at the Institute of Directors in London is free but places must be reserved in advance.
