It has been announced today (August 18th) that Software AG has completed the acquisition of call centre technology provider itCampus.
The acquisition, which includes itCampus' UK subsidiary, will help to strengthen the technology provider's position in the UK and major European markets.
According to the company it will do this by integrating its product development with Software AG's global research and development network - helping provide the next generation of outbound call centre innovations.
Dr Wolfram Jost, chief technology officer at Software AG, said that the partnership would open up "enormous possibilities".
"It will optimally support and incorporate the human factor in process excellence, resulting in greater efficiency, faster, individual customer communication and a fully flexible customer service process," he added.
The first jointly developed technology between the two companies, webMethods Communicate, which directly links call centres with automated business processes, is already available, Software AG revealed.
