Ryan will show and discuss Maritime Island - an innovative teaching game for use with health professionals. Currently Maritime Island has two scenarios based on Social Work with more in the pipeline, with the goal to help train and educate social workers on numerous areas of practice.

Ryan Flynn is a Principal Lecturer in Games and Multimedia Technologies at the University of Greenwich. He has a passion for all aspects of games design and development but his main research and interest area is the use of Games Technology in education. He is currently studying for his PhD in the area of analysing the use of games as a delivery mechanism for learning.
