40th Annual Golf Outing

Date/Time:
Thursday 22 September 2011, 1pm.

Venue:
Malone Golf Club, Upper Malone Road, Belfast

The 40th anniversary of the Annual Belfast Branch Golf Outing took place last week at Malone Golf Club on a fine sunny afternoon. It is a compliment to all involved that this event has survived continuously over the years, given that many of those years were during the worst years of the troubles in Northern Ireland. We were blessed with a glorious sunny day and a fine course, followed by an excellent meal and service in the clubhouse.

The day was assisted once again by inphoActive and we are grateful to Fergus Wallace and his company for their special effort this year and for their continued support.

After a few late cry-offs (times are difficult in business at present!), we had 27 golfers playing. The prizes were presented by Branch Chairman, Paul Evans, and were as follows:

BCS Members first prize and Branch silver salver, was won by Colin Roberts of HP, with Barry Hagan second and John McCloy third.

Non-member/visitor prize was won by Jamie McMinnis followed by Gary Toal and John Duddy.

It would be helpful if any Branch member who is interested in the annual golf day could email me at john.mccloy@nireland.com.

John McCloy
